coach casperson had us run 400 repeats which were not to bad we only did five of them . all of them were under 1:10 decker said that he was running them at about 1:09 and i was a little ahead of him by maybe 3 or 4 seconds so they were all kept within 1 or 2 seconds. cappy told us to do 3 and get a drink so me and decker did and after we were done we did our last 2. it was surprisingly harder to do the last two mainly because my throat was drying up and after the last one i was kinda choking on the little dangly thing in your throat.

got up early cause i realized i wouldnt be at track because i was on the set of high school musical 2. so i got up at 5:30 and ran up to mountain america from my house and back. it wasnt to bad just a bit chilly. but i soon found out that the team only ran like 2 or 3 and i ran a more which i actually liked cause i felt really good all day.

ok so we had a meet yesterday which was kinda nice. but at the same time it kinda sucked but oh well. so at the start of the meet i felt pretty good i did a bunch of runs on the field to warm up just running back and forth for my 110m huredles.  those have sucked this year i havent been able to run faster than a 17.0 yet. but after my 110s i had to hurry and get ready for the mile. the mile was alright for the first 2 laps i felt really good and i had stayed up with adam for about a lap and a half then i started feeling worse and felt like acid was eating the inside of my stomach. but then after the mile i ran the 300s they went really good . i had been kicking myself until the 3s about the mile. but i decide to not leave anything on the track. so after the 300s i had the 3200 which was really good until the last mile.i hit about the end of my fourth lap and then it felt like someone had stuck 3 knives into my stomach and was just twisting them. after i passed the fourth lap i couldnt breath and shamefully i had to walk for about 50 meters. but then i tried to run through it. big mistake when i came to lap 6 it was even worse. so i had to stp and walk another 50 meters or more!!!! i was ticked off really bad. but i gritted my teeth and ran through it for the last lap and 300 meters. the thing that made me even more mad was the fact that i caught back upt to someone from cross creek and about the 200 he picked it up and i was breathing through my nose so i could get rid of my side ache and i had to pick it up cause i had let myself down one the whole race i wanted to be abel to not feel so bad after it  so we continued to pick it up until the100 meter mark and i just gave everything else that i had and as i was sprinting down the stretch my side ache left and i also beat the kid so it was nice.

here are the times.

110 meter hurdles: 17.2 something

1600: 5:15

300 hurdles: 41.85 pr and state qualifyed if it was a qualifying meet.

3200: 12:41 terrible pw ( personal worst)

well it has been like forever since i have updated my blog. mainly because cappy has taken me almost well no actually he has taken me completly out of the mile which made me mad at first but whatever we are so close to the end. but today was a race day and i only ran the 110 meter high hurdles and the 300 meter hurdles. well for the pastlike week and a half or two i have been running with shin splints that are killing me. that is until i take about 1600 millagrams of ibuprofin. then i cant feel them like today. but for my 110 meter hurdles i did totally terrible. i got a 17.35 and  caplin hit his hurdle during the race and it tweaked my hurdle so that i landed on it and snapped it and that threw my steps and everything off. i was so mad after the when ichecked my time i was .1 off of making it into the finals. but hey no worries i made up for it in the 300s i ended up beating caplin and burt and winward which made me happy but i dont know if it is something to  be happy about cause burt pulled his hammy and caplin did something to his groin. but i was still happy cause i ran a 41.23 and caplin and i were just battling it out for first place and his time ended up being a 41.24!!! how crazy is that? that is just like a hair. but now the person i am after is sams from cedar he ran a freaking 40.38! and that is bookin it.

ran 5 200s with a 100 meter rest inbetween. after practice holt was about to do his easy three mile warm up so i went with him. we did 2450. i felt pretty good up until the last half mile to three quarters of a mile then i lost it. had to stop because of my shins and also i felt like i was going to puke. so i started walking then i started running again and the feeling of puking was still thier so i walked again until i got to stock truss yard and then i started running. i felt really weak and when i finished i had absolutly no sweat left. which was a terrible thing to happen. but it was like 100 degrees out today

ran a pyramid today. it was almost as hot as yesterday but not as bad. the pyramids cappy made me run went 100,200,300,400,500,400,300,200,100. i booked it during the uphill of the pyramid but then when i hit my 400 i did it with baker (who was on his 800) so i could have some energy to do the rest of my pyramid. by the end of the pyramid i absolutly nothing left. but i have to be as prepared for state as i possibly can. i ran about 2.25ish miles in all

so i basically did nothing i just ran a little bit. but i only did my stretching and ran over a couple of hurdles today cause we have state on friday and coach didnt tell me to do anything other than the hurdles. i am starting to get a little sad cause i checked my blood pressure and my pulse and they have gone up since the last time. i was like an 84 pulse and my  blood pressure was 134/73 . and teh reason for that is my endurance is going down quit a ways and it sucks. alot.

well i am taking two weeks off so my shins splints can heal. it is way wierd they are taking alot longer to heal than they normally do. but hopefully they will be gone before the firefighing stuff goes on.

Take it easy and rest, but keep doing things like biking. Then ease into your mileage, nothing huge. Thanks for not hitting me the other day!

Darryl Dawkins (b-ball player) is Chocolate Thunder. I'm not chocolate, I'm thin. self given nickname. What firefighting stuff are you doing.

From The Beast on Wed, Jun 06, 2007 at 16:10:10

Hey Tolman! are you ready? After the firefighting training maybe you will be able to bench more than candace.

From Green on Tue, Jun 19, 2007 at 15:44:27

Hey good luck at firefighting. I didn't know you were doing that, that's way sweet. Hey, i got shin splints my freshman year that turned into nasty stress fractures that put me out for 3 or 4 months, so take it easy. I got them becaue I kept coming back too soon... Good luck with it all, hope you feel better soon

From austin on Thu, Mar 27, 2008 at 18:56:19
